CTET 2018 Exam to be Held Today; Check Here All You Need to Know CTET 2018 (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) will be conducted today i.e. December 9. Students should note that the exam comprises of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2, the former would be appeared by those sitting for the Primary level, while the latter would be taken up by those going for Upper primary level. Further, the timings for Paper 1 are from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, and Paper 2 would be held from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Candidates must not forget to carry their hall tickets and reach their respective examination centres on time.

JNU Entrance Test updates: NTA to take charge of the exam as JNU canceled the exam JNU Entrance Test updates: NTA to take charge of the exam as JNU canceled the exam JNU University postponed its entrance test as it decided to rope in the newly formed ‘National Testing Agency’ for the same. Now, the exam will be conducted by the NTA. In another development, JNU has decided to double the number of centers which will be very useful for the candidates. The university will also introduce Mock Test Centers to help candidates familiarize themselves with the online test pattern. As a result, the JNU entrance exam (JNUEE) has been postponed and now will be conducted online in May 2019. Earlier, the exam was scheduled on December 27-30, 2018. The university in its 148th academic council meeting also announced that in 2019-20 academic session, the university will offer 1080 M.Phil and Ph.D. seats as opposed to 720 seats which were offered in last year’s academic session.

RTU signed MoU with AICTE for joint training programs RTU signed MoU with AICTE for joint training programs On 6th December 2018, Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the AICTE for the joint training program for the faculty members of the RTU and its affiliated colleges. The main objective of the training program is to train the faculty members and prepare them better for success in the knowledge society. All the faculty members from the AICTE approved institutions affiliated with the RTU are eligible for the training sessions. According to the MoU, each ‘AICTE-RTU joint training program’ will be a ‘five-day residential program’ with a minimum of forty participants.

Andhra Pradesh Pitched to Become India's Knowledge Capital New Delhi, India: A workshop on "Andhra Pradesh: India's Emerging Knowledge Capital" was organised at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi by Centre for Strategy and Leadership (CSL) in association with Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA), Government of Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh is building a world-class Knowledge City within its new capital Amaravati with the vision to nurture talent and support innovations. APCRDA is the nodal agency which is developing the state's new capital city of Amaravati. "Under the progressive leadership of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu the state is working towards developing the right education ecosystem which will support innovations and provide future generations an effective platform to learn and prosper, " said Dr. Sreedhar Cherukuri, Commissioner, APCRDA.  "We are developing a Knowledge City in Amaravati which will be built around education, research and development, skill enhancement and start-ups spread over 8, 547 acres with an estimated population of 4.3 lacs. The Knowledge city is expected to generate employment for more than 1.7 lac people, " said Dr. Cherukuri.

IIT Madras sees the highest number of offers ever for Placements in its history Chennai, 8th December 2018: Indian Institute of Technology Madras witnessed the highest ever number of job offers during placements made in its history. As many as 888 offers made from 195 companies during the Phase I of Campus Placements alone, which concluded today (Saturday, 8th December 2018). Including the 136 Pre-Placement Offers (PPO), the total number of offers stands at 1, 024. The Phase II of Placements will begin in second half of January 2019. The previous high was during 2014-15 Academic Year when 1, 019 offers, including for MBA, were received.
